Disaster Services
The mission of the American Red Cross Disaster Services is to ensure  disaster planning, preparedness, education, mitigation, and response that will provide quality services.

Red Cross service delivery is completed at three levels of operation:

Local Operations: Disaster Action Teams respond to smaller service area disasters, such asservices2.jpg home fires and flooding. Chapters also respond to larger local disasters that require services such as mass feeding and sheltering (generally for disasters affecting 25 or more people).
Regional Level Operations - the American Red Cross Region works as a team to support
relief operations throughout Nebgraska and Southeast Iowa.
National Level Operations – When necessary, the American Red Cross national organization provides support to the chapters in our area with human and material resources to assist with large-scale disasters. Conversely, when a major disaster occurs elsewhere in the United
States, volunteers from the our region deploy to the disaster-affected area to help their neighbors in need.   Click here to learn more about Disaster Services

Restoring Family Links
Armed conflict and natural disaster leave millions of people around the globe in urgent need of humanitarian assistance every year. Adding to the physical losses, the services4.jpgconfusion and chaos surrounding war and natural disasters often separates families when they need each other most. Tragically, when families and loved ones are separated by war or disaster, their suffering is greater. But, through the strength of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network and the assistance of local tracing volunteers around the world families reconnect.         Click here to learn more about Restoring Family Links
