Become a Licensed Emergency Medical Responder

EMR.jpgThe American Red Cross Emergency Medical Response Course starts Tuesday April 3, 2012. Tailored to professional rescuers, the course provides comprehensive training that gives participants the knowledge and skills necessary to work as an emergency medical responder to help sustain life, reduce pain and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until more advanced medical personnel take over.

Emergency Medical Responders (First Responders) are a vital part of the EMS (Emergency Medical Services) System. Emergency Medical Responders fill the gap between a basic first aid provider and an Emergency Medical Technician.
