Local Operations: Disaster Action Teams respond to smaller service area disasters, such as home fires and flooding. Chapters also respond to larger local disasters that require services such as mass feeding and sheltering (generally for disasters affecting 25 or more people).

Regional Level Operations: the American Red Cross Region works as a team to support relief operations throughout Nebgraska and Southeast Iowa.
National Level Operations:  When necessary, the American Red Cross national organization provides support to the chapters in our area with human and material resources to assist with large-scale disasters. Conversely, when a major disaster occurs elsewhere in the United States, volunteers from the our region deploy to the disaster-affected area to help their neighbors in need.
